Through the remainder of the month, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold five public workshops for the South Florida East Coast Transit Study. The workshops are the second of five sets the department plans to conduct.

FDOT commissioned the study to determine how to best develop passenger-rail service in a Miami-to-Jupiter corridor on or adjacent to Florida East Coast Railway's tracks. Workshop attendees will provide feedback on station locations, routes and transit vehicle types.
