Former CPR fleet director to help support asset-assignment software

AD OPT Technologies Inc. Aug. 28 named Jon Gradek Railways™ specialist, responsible for providing consultation for the company's locomotive and rail-car deployment and allocation software.
Gradek for the past six years served Canadian Pacific Railway as director of locomotive fleet management and director of capacity planning. He also has other railroad and international airline experience.
AD OPT Technologies plans to rely on Gradek to help the company further develop and market Railways software, designed to enable railroads to more effectively size their fleets to support scheduled operations, and more optimally deploy assets through a decision-support management tool.
Railways, which offers locomotive-assignment software for freight railroads, and locomotive- and car-assignment software for passenger railroads, has been licensed by VIA Rail Canada Inc.
