Titled “Green For All: How Railroads Are Creating Pro-Planet Initiatives that Better the Bottom Line,” the webcast will review the economic benefits of “greening” throughout a rail organization
and provide key steps railroads should consider as they plan their eco-friendly programs. Moderated by Progressive Railroading Managing Editor Jeff Stagl, the event will feature CSX Director of Environmental Systems Carl Gerhardstein as presenter.
Gerhardstein will describe the ways CSX is “walking the green walk,” from reducing emissions to cutting fuel usage to boosting energy efficiency at corporate offices. He’ll also identify the advantages of pursuing sustainability, such as benefiting the bottom line.
