FreightCar America Inc. announced it recently sold its Johnstown, Pa., “Shell Plant” to United Industrial Electro-Mechanical Services Inc.
The facility has been used sporadically by FreightCar America in recent years. Headquartered in Johnstown, United Industrial Services will use the plant to increase its welding and fabrication facilities.
FreightCar America will continue to operate its other production facility in Johnstown, as well as plants in Danville, Ill., and Roanoke, Va.
