Today, GE Security and Cubic Corp. announced plans to enter into a joint development agreement to combine explosives detection technology with automatic fare-collection systems for public transit agencies.

The companies will rely on GE’s and Cubic’s expertise in explosives detection technology and fare-collection systems, respectively.

GE and Cubic are sharing their first design concept with transit officials at the American Public Transportation Association International Public Transit Expo being held this week in Dallas.
