GE Equipment Services, Rail Services is adding mobile repairs to its suite of rail-car repair services. The company recently opened a mobile repair facility in La Porte, Texas, and soon will open additional facilities in Mounds, Ill., and Waycross, Ga.
The mobile units will travel to work locations within a 200-mile radius of the base facility. GE Equipment Services also will offer inspection stations through the mobile facilities to provide HM-201 testing, which ensures a tank car’s structural integrity.
