GETS purchases simulators to track auxiliary-power controller development
advertisement
General Electric Transportation Systems (GETS) recently obtained five additional RT-LAB Engineering Simulators from Opal-RT Technologies Inc., enabling GETS to analyze the design of locomotive auxiliary-power controllers.
A year ago, GETS purchased an RT-LAB to help monitor component-control design, and integrate panel hardware and software. Now, the locomotive builder plans to use the simulators to test system anomalies and enhance GETS' real-time testing systems.
Later this year, GETS plans to purchase another five RT-LABs for the next development phase, which is scheduled to start in January 2004.
