Engineering firm HDR Inc. will be a sponsor of the upcoming Streetcar Workshop Series being held by Reconnecting America, the American Public Transportation Association, the Community Streetcar Coalition and the Seaside Institute.

The workshops will feature public works officials and streetcar experts from around the country, who will discuss streetcar-oriented development, as well as funding and political strategies for launching a streetcar system.

The series will kick off July 27 in Portland, Ore. Other workshops will be held in Madison, Wis., Charlotte, N.C., and Denver.
