HDR to design, engineer Houston METRO extension

Architectural, engineering and consulting firm HDR Inc. recently obtained a contract to provide design development, and conceptual and preliminary engineering services for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas (METRO) North Corridor project.

One of five extensions planned for the light-rail system that opened in January 2004, the North Corridor will extend light-rail service about five miles to the Northline Mall area.
