The International Cargo Security Council (ICSC) recently elected Scott Harrison Smith chairman for 2005. He will serve a one-year term beginning Jan. 1.
President of cargo security seal supplier Alpha Cargo Technology L.L.C., Smith previously served as the council's vice chairman, secretary and chair of five committees. He also serves as president of Harrison Consulting Group, which specializes in intermodal security, and advisor to the U.S. Department of Treasury Subcommittee on U.S. Border Security's technology team.
Formerly the National Cargo Security Council, ICSC is an association comprising about 1,100 cargo transportation and security professionals from the railroad, trucking, air, maritime and intermodal industries.
