The Home Depot recently named BNSF Railway Co. 2004 Partner of the Year-Rail. One of eight transportation companies to be recognized as a partner of the year, BNSF provides carload and intermodal service to Home Depot's distribution centers.
"It is an honor to be recognized by The Home Depot as a vital link in their supply chain," said Dave Garin, BNSF group vice president of industrial products, in a prepared statement.
Last year, BNSF received carrier of the year honors from Wal-Mart Stores Inc., American Honda Motor Corp., FedEx Supply Chain, Evergreen America, Glovis America a (third-party logistics provider for Hyundi/Kia) and Toyota Logistics Services.
