The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently awarded a $9.8 million contract to Epsilon Systems Solutions Inc. to design, manufacture and install a security system along rail lines passing through the nation’s capital.

Epsilon will work with Duos Technologies Inc. to provide a system that integrates several surveillance technologies, including intelligent video and radio frequency identification systems.

The system will enable DHS, law enforcement agencies and railroads to monitor D.C.-area track for security threats.
