House transportation committee names railroad, transit subcommittee heads

On Feb. 12, the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee named subcommittee chairmen, vice chairman and ranking members.
For the Railroads Subcommittee, Rep. Jack Quinn (R-N.Y.) was named chairman; Rep. Corrine Brown (D-Fla.), ranking member; and Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.), vice chairman.
For the Highways, Transit and Pipelines Subcommittee (the former Highways and Transit Subcommittee just renamed by the House), Rep. Thomas Petri (R-Wis.) was named chairman; Rep. William Lipinski (D-Ill.), ranking member; and Rep. Bob Beauprez (R-Colo.), vice chairman.
