IANA creates card program to help truckers manage fuel purchases

advertisement

Like their railroad counterparts, truckers have been facing high fuel costs for years. So, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) is introducing a fuel card program to help truckers manage diesel costs and purchases.

Developed with fuel card and information management provider T-Chek Systems Inc., the program will be available March 1 to IANA member carriers, suppliers and intermodal marketing companies.

Members can use the card to buy fuel and purchase other products and services at more than 6,000 truck stops in the United States and Canada. Initially, a core group of more than 300 truck stops will be part of a premium network offering users maximum savings.

Program participants also will be able to access Web-based tools to manage fuel and related costs. IANA plans to enhance the program so members can use the card to pay for repairs, maintenance and other services.
