IANA installs new chairman, board members

The Intermodal Association of North America’s (IANA) board recently elected Stephen Branscum chairman for 2010. Currently BNSF Railway Co.’s group vice president-consumer products, Branscum succeeds Greg Stefflre, chief executive officer of Rail Delivery Services Inc.
IANA’s board also elected David Howland, VP of Optimodal L.L.C., vice chairman. Steve Rubin, President of Seacastle Chassis Inc., again will serve as treasurer.
In addition, the board re-elected CSX Intermodal President James Hertwig as a director and elected five new directors, all of whom will serve three-year terms. The new members are Thomas Kelly, executive VP and chief operating officer of MOL (America) Inc.; Kevin Lhotak, president of Reliable Transportation Specialists Inc.; Barry Michaels, assistant VP-premium operations for Union Pacific Railroad; Val Noel, president of Pacer Cartage Inc.; and Phil Shook, director of intermodal for C.H. Robinson Worldwide.
