On June 14, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) plans to hold its 2004 Intermodal Operations and Maintenance Seminar at the Sofitel Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Ill.

Designed for intermodal managers from all transportation modes, the seminar offers several educational sessions and workshops covering such topics as the initial impact of truckers' new hours-of-service regulations on intermodal operations, intermodal equipment roadability, in-terminal equipment damage prevention and visibility, tips on managing a crisis, tire-condition assessment, achieving drayage efficiencies and intermodal trailers' future.

IANA also plans to hold an early arrival reception the evening of June 13 and a closing reception immediately following the seminar to provide attendees networking opportunities.

On or before May 14, the registration fee is $250 for at-large IANA members, $300 for regular members and $350 for non-members; after May 14, the fee is $300, $350 and $400 for at-large and regular members, and non-members, respectively.

For more information, call IANA at 301-982-3400, ext. 32, or visit the association's Web site at www.intermodal.org.
