The University of Denver’s Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) recently elected Michael Bruns and Christopher Connor to its board.

Bruns is president of Comtrak Logistics Inc. and Connor is president of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Americas L.L.C. and chief executive officer of WWL Vehicle Services Americas Inc.

ITI’s board comprises more than 50 executives and leaders from the freight and passenger transportation industries. Members serve three-year terms. ITI offers an Executive Masters Program that awards a Master of Science in Intermodal Transportation Management from the Denver university.

Meanwhile, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) elected Chris Munro and Patrick Valentine to its board. They will take their seats on Jan. 1.

Munro, who will serve as an at-large board member, is president and CEO of Roadlink. Valentine, who will represent IANA’s Water Division on the board, is director of safety and regulatory issues for Maersk Equipment Service Co. Inc.

IANA also re-elected Steve Rubin and Jim Handoush to the board. President of Seacastle Chassis and Seacastle Inc., Rubin will represent IANA’s Supplier Division on the board; president of Landstar Global Logistics Inc., Handoush will continue to serve on behalf of the IMC Division.

Munro, Valentine, Rubin and Handoush will serve three-year terms that expire at 2011’s end.
