John Pit, vice president of sales for VAE Nortrak since 1992, died Aug. 25 following a battle against cancer.
Pit played “a big part in the building of our reputation and an integral part of Nortrak’s success,” said Chief Executive Officer Sylvain Garneau in a prepared statement. “His love and commitment to his fellow employees and customers will always be valued and remembered, as will his generosity, wit, strength of character and integrity.”
In a statement titled “The Passing of One of Nortrak’s best …”, Garneau also asked Nortrak employees to pay a “well-earned tribute” to Pit by “respecting a minute of silence” from 12:20 p.m. to 12:21 p.m. (PST) yesterday.
