InDOT seeks feedback on state rail plan

The Indiana Department of Transportation (InDOT) is seeking feedback on its state rail plan.

The agency is encouraging the public and rail stakeholders to complete an online survey about the plan and attend one of three open house events scheduled this month.

The meetings will feature brief presentations and allow attendees to ask questions of InDOT rail and consultation staff. In addition, attendees will be able to complete a paper survey.

The open house meetings are scheduled for Nov. 10, 15 and 17.

States applying for federal rail funding need to have an approved state rail plan. InDOT consultant WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff expects to have a draft of the plan ready by spring 2017.
