Interfleet launches new light-rail department

Rail consulting firm Interfleet Technology recently created a new Light Rail Team as part of its Railway Systems & Strategy department. The team was formed to consolidate Interfleet’s existing light-rail expertise and meet industry demand for light-rail consulting services.
The firm currently is involved with light-rail projects for Edinburgh’s tie Limited, the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive and Dublin Metro North.
The new light-rail division will be led by Tim Knapp, who previously served two years as an Interfleet principal engineer. His resumé also includes stints with British Rail, Parsons Brinckerhoff and INBIS Rail Design and Engineering.
