Interfleet obtains contract to study light-rail vehicles

The Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) recently contracted Interfleet Technology Inc. to conduct a study of low-floor light-rail vehicles. Funded by the Federal Transit Administration, TCRP conducts research for the U.S. public transit industry.
Some agencies are experiencing problems with excess wheel wear and derailments on the low-floor vehicles, so Interfleet will identify problem causes and potential solutions, according to a prepared statement.
