Iowa Interstate taps Miller as Roy's successor

Iowa Interstate Railroad Ltd. June 20 named Vice President of Operations, Information Systems and Customer Services Dennis Miller executive vice president, succeeding President and Chief Executive Officer Jon Roy, who plans to retire June 26.
Miller would be responsible for day to day management of the 552-mile regional, which since 1991 has been owned by Heartland Rail Corp. and Railroad Development Corp.
A nearly 30-year railroad veteran, Miller has served Iowa Interstate for 17 years in operations and information technology. He developed for the regional a computerized Track Warrant Control System©.
Miller also serves as president and CEO of Iowa Interstate subsidiary Rail Traffic Control Inc., which markets software, and provides consulting services and rules training.
Prior to Iowa Interstate, he served in various operating positions for Peoria & Pekin Union Railway, and Rock Island Railroad.
