Italian company MER MEC SpA recently acquired ImageMap Inc. Terms weren’t disclosed.
ImageMap will become an operating subsidiary of the MER MEC Group, but continue to operate as a separate entity. Based in Columbia, S.C., ImageMap supplies rail, track and wheel measurement systems to rail industries worldwide.
MER MEC named David Ford acting president of ImageMap to succeed Roger Tracy, who will join the MER MEC Group as senior sales consultant after serving as ImageMaps’s president the past 12 years.
