Johnstown America completes utility's coal-car orders

Johnstown America Corp. Aug. 23 completed delivery of 115 AutoFlood II™ aluminum hopper cars to electric and gas utility UtiliCorp United.
The completed order closely follows the supplier's recent delivery of 25 similar coal cars to the utility.
AutoFlood IIs are five-pocket hopper cars outfitted with Johnstown America's MegaFlo™ door system, designed as a larger 50-inch opening to ease unloading and reduce door wear.
Johnstown America implemented several specification changes to the AutoFlood IIs — including a customized door-line mounting — to make the cars more compatible with Kansas City, Mo.-based UtiliCorp's existing fleet.
