Kansas City Southern recently promoted Michelle Kelly from director to assistant vice president of compensation and benefits, and named Larry Haskell AVP of information technology (IT) operations and transportation systems.

Kelly, who will report to Senior VP of Human Resources John Derry, joined KCS in 2008. She has 25 years of human resources experience in the railroad, health care, manufacturing, utility and retail industries.

Haskell most recently served ActioNet Inc. as national program quality manager for an enterprise IT program within the Federal Aviation Administration. He previously was VP of operations for Ultra Electronics Airport Systems Inc. and held various IT leadership positions at American Century Investments.

Meanwhile, OmniTRAX Canada Inc. appointed Eitan Dehtiar director of energy and commodities marketing. He will be responsible for marketing, sales, customer service, and industrial and business development, primarily in Canada’s northern markets.

Dehtiar will work with OmniTRAX’s current business ties in the Hudson Bay and Kivalliq regions to develop new opportunities, expand revenue growth, and consult with shippers and receivers to ensure the Port of Churchill “continues to offer quality rail, freight handling and marine shipping services,”OmniTRAX Canada officials said in a prepared statement.

Dehtiar has 20 years of experience in finance, supply chain management and business development, most recently as VP of finance and strategic planning for Braden-Burry Expediting Ltd.
