KCS needs extra time to prepare, launch its automated payroll system
advertisement
Kansas City Southern has pushed back the implementation of its Enterprise Workforce Management (EWM) system, which the railroad expected to launch in the year's first half. The Class I now plans to implement EWM in the third quarter.
A KCS team is working with Timera Inc. to develop EWM, an automated system designed to increase payroll accuracy and timeliness, and provide daily expense reports to improve operations.
EWM also would integrate crew calling with KCS' payroll system, helping to streamline the process.
The additional preparation time will ensure a more seamless integration into KCS' day-to-day operations, railroad officials said in a prepared statement.
