KCS to move customer service, network operations centers to Missouri headquarters
advertisement
In the first quarter, Kansas City Southern plans to move its Customer Solutions Center (CSC) from Shreveport, La., to the Class I's Kansas City, Mo., headquarters. The Network Operations Center (NOC) will be relocated from Shreveport to Kansas City shortly afterwards.
Co-locating the centers with the sales and marketing, e-commerce, revenue and asset management, and service design departments will enable KCS to streamline processes and promote synergies. The railroad also plans to implement a new management approach and organizational structure.
The CSC will be led by Kelly Platt, who KCS promoted from general director to assistant vice president of business solutions. Since joining the Class I in 1990, she has held various positions in sales and marketing, pricing, analytics and revenue management.
Vice President of Transportation David Ebbrecht will continue to oversee NOC functions, including dispatching and locomotive power distribution. He has 12 years' experience in the transportation logistics industry with KCS and CSX Transportation.
