KCSM moves first finished vehicles from Mexican Amports facility

advertisement

At the Lázaro Cardenas terminal on April 18, Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) moved the first carloads of finished vehicles from the new Amports facility at Cayacal Island.

The Amports facility previously was used for intermodal traffic, but not finished vehicles. The facility was built two years ago with support from KCSM, which provided track materials.

The move is coordinated between KCSM’s transportation and fleet distribution departments, and the customer.
