Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V. (KCSM) continues to provide safety training programs to its customers. The railroad recently conducted a program for shippers Deacero, Industrial Papelera Mexico and Minera del Norte in Morelia, Mexico.

Provided at a customer’s facility free of charge, the program is tailored for employees who deal with rail equipment or track. KCSM provides training sessions on rail routes, tonnage, safety rules, signals, equipment boarding, hand break operation, basic engineering concepts, shifted loads and overload units.

The training is coordinated by KCSM’s customer service, operations support and operations departments. The railroad previously conducted programs in Lazaro Cardenas on May 9 and Salinas Victoria on March 15.
