This month, Klutts Equipment Inc. plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Muskogee, Okla. The plant will produce rail maintenance-of-way equipment, including the Gon-Topper material handler, tie inserters, small tampers, push carts and rail heaters.

Featuring computer-controlled cutting, welding and fabricating machines designed to meet close tolerances, the facility will enable Klutts Equipment to increase manufacturing of push carts, ballast/rock cars, rail heaters and other specialty machines, the company said.

Established in 1987, Klutts Equipment produces the remote-controlled, self-loading/unloading Gon-Topper, as well as a small utility tamper, tie inserter, diesel rail heater, and custom-built rock cars and push carts. The company also offers remanufacturing and equipment leasing services.
