Knorr-Bremse to provide braking equipment for Deutsche Bahn EMUs

Knorr-Bremse AG recently obtained a contract to supply braking systems for 400 electric multiple units Bombardier Transportation is building for Germany’s Deutsche Bahn AG.

The braking equipment will feature an air treatment system with oil-free compressors, modern braking technology and optimized bogie equipment, Knorr-Bremse said.

The vehicles are scheduled to enter service in 2009.
