L. B. Foster Co. has acquired most of the equipment, inventory backlog and intellectual property of bridge-deck supplier Greulich Bridge Products Division, a division of Harsco Corp. The deal’s terms weren’t revealed.

Acquiring competitor Greulich will net production efficiencies and expand L.B. Foster’s marketing reach, particularly in international and bascule bridge markets, Chairman Lee Foster said in a statement issued Jan. 8.

L.B. Foster also manufactures, fabricates and distributes rail, construction and tubular products.
