Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) recently awarded a $5 million contract to L.B. Foster Co. to supply about 72,000 direct fixation fasteners for the agency’s Northwest and Southeast light-rail extensions.
L.B. Foster will install recently developed bonded direct fixation fasteners, which feature a captive Pandrol® Fastclip system, and are designed to reduce installation and maintenance costs. The company also will supply 1,000 egg-style direct fixation fasteners designed to mitigate noise and vibration along certain areas of the lines.
