On Dec. 16, Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) announced that Australian Railroad Group (ARG) Chief Executive Officer Martin Lacombe will not extend his term as CEO and plans to return to North America.
GWI President and Chief Operating Officer Charles Marshall temporarily relocated to Perth, Western Australia, to head ARG until the railroad's board appoints a new CEO sometime in early 2003, according to a prepared statement.
ARG is a joint venture half-owned by GWI and Perth-based Wesfarmers Ltd.
