advertisement
Bangkok Metro Public Co. Ltd. (BMCL) recently contracted Lloyd’s Register Rail to review the Safety Management System for the Mass Transit Authority of Thailand’s Initial System Project.
BMCL operates the system under a 25-year contract with the transit authority.
Lloyd’s Register Rail will advise the authority on accident prevention; conduct safety assessments; report on staff training, loss prevention, risk management and operational supervision issues; conduct presentations and develop reports to help reinforce and improve the effectiveness of the safety management system; and train operators on safety practices.
The company will complete the review in summer, and provide auditing and advisory services until 2006’s end.
