Long takes helm as OmniTRAX's president, CEO

The Broe Group has appointed Gary Long president and chief executive officer of OmniTRAX Inc. He will be responsible for the operating and financial performance of the managed companies under OmniTRAX, including short lines and intermodal, port and new venture developments.

Long most recently was senior vice president of commercial and supply chain management for Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics. His transportation and logistics experience in rail, marine, port/terminal and truck supply chains also includes a stint as chief operating officer for Wallenius’ Distribution Auto Services subsidiary.

Long previously held various executive posts with AMPORTS, POD Technologies and Allied Holdings. He also served Norfolk Southern Corp. for 17 years in various capacities, including director-Metal Products Group.

OmniTRAX provides railroad, port and transloading services, and manages intermodal and industrial switching operations. The company owns and operates more than 15 short lines in the United States and Canada.
