With 28 years of transit experience, Ferrell has served as executive vice president and COO of Capital Metro in Austin, Texas, since 2004. He was responsible for overseeing operations, maintenance, safety and security for the agency’s bus, paratransit and freight-rail services. Ferrell also helped develop the agency’s commuter-rail system, which is scheduled to open in fall.
