MARTA to unveil FY2006 budget

Throughout April, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is hosting a series of public meetings to introduce and review its fiscal-year 2006 budget, which includes restructured fares.
This week, the authority will hold community meetings to gather public feedback. Next week, MARTA will hold community exchange sessions at which officials will provide information on the budget and answer questions. During April’s last week, the authority will conduct public hearings on the budget and fare proposals (which the authority hasn't yet released).
MARTA’s FY2006 budget takes effect July 1.
