MBTA to rehabilitate State Street Station

Later this month, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority plans to begin rehabilitating the State Street Station.

Part of the authority’s Blue Line modernization plan, the project includes expanding Blue Line platforms to enable MBTA to operate six-car trains, building new station entryways, and elevators and escalators, and relocating and upgrading existing utility lines on nearby streets.
