MTA to add NYCT Staten Island-to-NJ Transit line bus route

advertisement

In fall, MTA New York City Transit will launch service on a new bus route running from Staten Island to New Jersey Transit’s Hudson Bergen light-rail line in Bayonne, N.J.

The limited-stop route will operate during morning and evening peak periods, enabling Staten Island residents to reach growing job markets in Bayonne, Jersey City and Hoboken, as well as connect with Port Authority Trans-Hudson trains to Manhattan.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority and NJ Transit currently are negotiating an agreement to provide a joint monthly ticket that bus riders could use for both services.
