Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
This week, the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) will host a series of open houses to discuss the proposed Red Line.
The 10.5-mile east/west corridor would connect the Woodlawn area of Baltimore County, Edmondson Village, downtown Baltimore, and communities near Inner Harbor East and Fells Point/Patterson Park.
The line would connect to MTA’s existing subway and light-rail lines, and Maryland Rail Commuter lines.
MTA officials are considering whether to provide light-rail transit, bus rapid transit or enhanced bus service on the corridor.
