Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
The National Mediation Board (NMB) recently appointed Gerry McGuckin and Marvin Sandrin as mediators. Both will be responsible for handling railroad and airline cases, including grievance mediation.
McGuckin previously was a merger committee co-chairman for PeoplExpress pilots, elected representative on the Air Line Pilots Association's master executive council for Braniff International Airways and US Airways, and an association negotiator and chief negotiator at US Airways.
Sandrin previously retired from Northwest Airlines. He served as general chairmain and president, and directing general chair of a union district lodge.
