Last week, the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) appointed Dave Mears senior director-equipment management and utilization programs.
With more than 25 years' experience in railroading, Mears previously held various positions at Amtrak and Conrail. He currently serves as a senior vice president of the Transportation Research Forum.
“[Mears] brings us excellent knowledge and expertise in rail operations, customer service and fleet management,” said ASLRRA President Richard Timmons in a prepared statement.
