Miami-Dade Transit to hold open houses on airport extension

Miami-Dade Transit will hold public meetings Oct. 27 and Nov. 1 to review plans for a Metrorail extension to Miami International Airport.
The 2.4-mile extension will run between the existing Earlington Heights Station to Miami Intermodal Center at the airport. The project includes building a station at the intermodal center to connect Metrorail with Tri-Rail, Amtrak and bus service, as well as the airport.
