Minneapolis' Hiawatha light-rail to open late next month

On June 26, Minnesota’s Metropolitan Council will open the first phase of the Twin Cities’ Hiawatha light-rail line.
Traveling between Minneapolis and Fort Snelling, Minn., the eight-mile first phase includes 12 stations. The council plans to open the four-mile second phase in December.
The line will provide service to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America.
