Montreal’s Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) recently opened a 3.2-mile metro extension to Laval, Quebec.
The $745 million line includes new stations in Cartier, de la Concorde and Montmorency. During peak periods, AMT will operate every other train to the Laval stations; the remainder will stop at the line’s previous terminus at Henri-Bourassa.
Meanwhile, the Société de transport de Laval redesigned its bus network to serve the new rail stations. Nineteen bus routes will head into Cartier station, 14 to Montmorency station and three to de la Concorde station.
