The Railway Association of Canada (RAC) recently appointed Curtis Myson dangerous goods specialist for western Canada, effective April 1. He will succeed John Lewis, who will retire.
Myson will work with railroads, shippers, emergency responders and communities to promote the safe transportation of dangerous goods.
He previously served as a dangerous goods officer for Canadian National Railway Co., held various fertilizer shipping and chemical plant operations positions, and was an emergency response contractor and trainer.
The RAC represents the interests of 60 member freight, commuter, intercity and tourist railroads in Canada.
