NJ Transit completes Bloomfield Station shelter restoration

advertisement

New Jersey Transit recently completed a $1.3 million project to restore the shelter at the historic Bloomfield Station on the Montclair-Boonton Line.

The station’s inbound shelter was damaged by a fire in 1991. NJ Transit stabilized the structure in 2004.

The restored shelter features rehabilitated boarding platforms, as well as new windows, lighting and seating, and a climate-controlled waiting area.
