NJ Transit contracts American Bridge to repair, rehab drawbridge

New Jersey Transit recently awarded a $4 million contract to American Bridge Co. to perform emergency repairs and rehabilitation work on the HX Drawbridge near the Meadowlands.

The firm will replace two roller bearing sets in the upper link of the double-tracked bridge, and replace operating machinery and struts.
