Yesterday, New Jersey Transit began testing light-rail vehicles on the Hudson-Bergen extension between the Hoboken and Lincoln Harbor stations. To prepare for the segment’s early September opening, the agency is operating vehicles at regular frequencies — every 15 minutes between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m.
NJ Transit continues to open segments of the line’s 6.1-mile extension between Hoboken Terminal and Tonnelle Avenue. Last November, the agency opened 22nd Street Station in Bayonne, N.J.
